Adda M. Luening, 83, of Buckley died at 2:50 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2017, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main Street, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Baier Family Funeral Services, 306 E. Lincoln Street, Buckley and at the church on Saturday one hour before the funeral service from 10-11 a.m.
Adda was born June 22, 1934 in Buckley the daughter of John and Irene Wagner Coleman. She married Armin Luening on January 26, 1952 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. He survives.
Along with her husband, Armin, she is survived by two sons, Tony (Susan) Luening of Paxton, Stewart (Twila) Luening of Buckley; three daughters, Connie (Glenn) Neukomm of Buckley, Theresa (Dennis) Sturm of Buckley, Bonnie Chaney of Buckley; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (Victor) Schumacher of Cissna Park and one brother, Robert Coleman of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Edward Coleman.
Adda attended school in Cissna Park and in her early years worked at Len & Edna's Sundries, Buckley. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley and a former Cub Scout den mother. She enjoyed baking, canning and volunteering at St. John's Lutheran School. In 1982, she and her husband built a family cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where they enjoyed time spent with family.
