Albert V. "Al" Rattonetti, 87, of Paxton passed away at 1:52 a.m. Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton with military honors.

Visitation will be one hour before the service on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Al was born January 30, 1931, in Danville the son of Albert J. and Mildred Williams Rattonetti. He married Jeanene Palmer November 11, 1951 at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas. She preceded him in death May 14, 1998.

He is survived by two daughters, Anita Rattonetti of Paxton, Debbie Muhleman of Paxton; a son, Albert V. (Jamie) Rattonetti II of Buckley; two grandchildren, Shannon Williams, Albert V. Rattonetti, III; two great grandchildren, Niamyah and Jeremiah Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Norma Kennedy.

Al graduated from Danville High School in 1951. He served in the United States Air Force 1951-55. He worked Civil Service as an instructor at Sheppard Air Force Base and Chanute Air Force Base for 35 years, retiring in 1990. After his retirement, he drove cars for Shield's Automart for a number of years.

He enjoyed woodworking and made many wooden toys including Noah's Ark. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
