Alleta A. Moore passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. She was born on March 13, 1930 in rural Franklin County, Illinois.

Alleta was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dean (B.D.) Moore, her parents and her brother. She is survived by her sister, Mary (Shockley) Roethe, and her three children: Jo Deen (Jerry) Schmidt, Michael (Dianne Durant) Moore and Ruth Moore. Alleta was blessed with three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Alleta worked a variety of retail and clerical jobs. She spent the bulk of her career working as a civil service employee for the Navy detachment at Chanute AFB and the Navy ROTC unit at the University of Illinois.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, from 4-6 p.m. at Baier Family Funeral Services in Paxton.

Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 21, at 10 a.m. at Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. before processing to the cemetery.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, at 11 a.m. at the Paxton Federated Church, 221 W. Center Street.
