Arbuita Faye "Boots" Rousseau, 77 of Paxton died at 4:25 a.m. Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Heartland Healthcare Center, Paxton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Grace Baptist Church, 931 South Railroad Avenue, Paxton with Rev. Levi Deatrick officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, August 10, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton and at the church Saturday one hour before the funeral service beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Arbuita was born October 20, 1940 in Grahn, Kentucky the daughter of Chester and Eva Tackett Sparks. She married Joseph E. Rousseau September 24, 1966 in Washington, DC. He preceded her in death June 3, 2015.
She is survived by a son, Richard (Kasey) Rousseau of Merritt Island, Florida; a daughter, Lisa (Timothy) Woodmansee of Buckley; five grandchildren Natacha Rousseau, Ione Rousseau, Zachary (Hillary) Woodmansee, Ashley (Nathaniel) Morris, Nathan Woodmansee; a great grandson, Anthony Lopez, great granddaughter, Raelynn Woodmansee and a brother, Brady (Diane) Sparks of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and one brother.
Boots graduated from Olive Hill High School, Kentucky. She and her family moved to Lake Iroquois in 1971 and to Paxton in 2008. Along with being a full-time wife and mother, she worked at Hardees in Paxton as the biscuit maker for several years.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Paxton and the Loda Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed legion activities, flower gardening and was an avid TV watcher which included watching the Chicago Cubs games.
