Barbara Almeta Swan, 66 of Paxton, passed away at 7:28 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2020, at Gibson Area Hospital.

There will be no services at this time. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Barbara was born February 4, 1954 in Elizabethton, Tennessee the daughter of Lewis Lafayette and Mary Frances Rader Felts. She married Randy Swan September 28, 1991 in Phoenix, Arizona. He survives.

Along with her husband Randy, she is survived by two sons David Doehring of Phoenix, Joe (Jessica) Felts of Phoenix; three grandsons Asher, Seth and Logan, two sisters Karen Rowland of Waverly, Ohio, Cathy Berereton of Phoenix; three brothers, Jesse Felts and Calvin Felts both of Chillicothe, Ohio and Jeffrey Felts of Paxton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Barbara graduated from Adena High School, Frankfort, Ohio. She served in the United States Air Force for four years. Barb attended Wright State University, Dayton and Ohio State University. She received an Associate Degree in electrical engineering from Glendale Community College, Arizona. She also received a nursing degree from Rio Salado College, Phoenix, Arizona. Barb was a nurse at Country Health Nursing Home, Gifford and retired from ASTA Care Center of Ford County.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Paxton. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, music and taking care of animals.
