Beverly Ann Gronemeyer, 87 of Paxton passed away at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2021 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 407 W. Pells Street, Paxton with Father Dong Van Bui officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Paxton at a later date.
Visitation will be 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton.
Beverly was born September 5, 1933 in Stamford, Connecticut the daughter of George and Rose Kane Bell. She married Donald Gronemeyer September 24, 1955 in Stamford, Connecticut. He survives.
Along with her husband, Don she is survived by her children, Kathryn (Robert) DeWaele of Summerville, SC, Dr. Robert Gronemeyer of Michigan City, IN, Mary (Dave) Kiester of Manhattan, IL, Patricia (Jim) Wray of Paxton, Margaret "Peggy" Gronemeyer of Paxton; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Susan Gronemeyer.
Bev graduated from Hughes High School, Cincinnati, OH in 1951. She earned a BSN Nursing Degree from Mount Saint Joseph University, Ohio. Bev and Don moved to Paxton in 1962 where she was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Paxton and the CCW. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Paxton American Legion Auxiliary, and the Paxton Woman's Club.
Bev enjoyed playing cards, puzzles and crocheting. She was very artistic and was an amateur watercolor artist. Bev was an avid dog lover. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Ford County Homeless Pets or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.baierfuneralservices.com.
