Blaine E. Schwartz, 54, of Rantoul; formerly of Paxton, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the home of his mother in Paxton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. Debra Domeier officiating and assisted by Pastor Dave Parker. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Blaine was born May 10, 1963 in Paxton the son of Robert H. and Jean Ann Webb Schwartz. He graduated from Paxton High School in 1981. He was a contractor for Roessler Construction and was owner of Schwartz Home Improvement.


He is survived by his mother, Jean Schwartz of Paxton; three brothers, Dan (Debbie) Schwartz of Paxton, Joel (Sandy) Schwartz of White Heath, Cully (Pam) Schwartz of Paxton; a sister, Amy (Brian) Johnson of Paxton; several nieces and nephews; one great nephew and a special friend, Donna Bruns.

He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Blaine enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes. He was an avid Cardinals fan and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He loved life, always had a joke to share and never hesitated to help those less fortunate.
