She lived in the Loda area her entire life and wintered in Texas at Tropic Star RV Resort since January 1992. Blanche enjoyed life with her family and friends that loved her so much. One of her favorite past times was playing bingo. Second to playing bingo, she loved playing cards and dice. Whether it was a high-stakes (with dimes) game of 3-13, a wild game of Mexican Train Dominos (governed by her own rules) or a lucky game of Farkle (which she also had her own rules for), she always loved playing and the company of her friends and family.
Blanche will be buried in Pine Ride Cemetery, Loda. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling the arrangements. In lieu of a standard memorial service, Blanche wished to have a Celebration of Life event where friends and family could play bingo, cards and dice and perhaps even drink Blanche's favorite drink – a Bloody Mary made with Zing Zang along with her son Matt's secret recipe. This Celebration of Life will be held at the Bachman Farm in Loda, Illinois on September 5, 2021 which would have been Blanche's 87 th birthday. If you are interested in attending, please email blanchebachmanbeherns@gmail.com and you will be placed on the guest list to receive more information closer to the time of the event.
