Brian Leslie VanLaningham, 47 of Paxton, died at 3:03 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2023, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. Debra Domeier officiating.  Private family burial will be at Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Brian was born December 18, 1975, in Urbana the son of James L. and Connie J. Carlson VanLaningham.

He is survived by one sister, Lisa (Bruce) Adwell of Paxton; two nieces, Emily and Kayla Adwell, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mike VanLaningham.

Brian graduated from Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School in 1994.  He was a millwright and worked with his father in the family business of Vanco Construction.

He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
