Brian Michael Wolnik, 55, of Paxton, formerly of Huntley, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton with Father Greg Skowron officiating.
Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, May 15 at the funeral home. A Rosary will be held at 4:00 p.m. In honor of Brian's love for Chicago sports, he requested guests to wear Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears or Chicago Blackhawks attire to the visitation.

Brian was born April 22, 1971 in Oak Park, Illinois the son of Thaddeus and Carol Mastej Wolnik. He married Dana Anders May 12, 2012 in Algonquin, Illinois. She survives.

Along with his wife, Dana, he is survived by a son, Zachary Wolnik; his parents, Thaddeus and Carol Wolnik of Tallahassee, Florida; six siblings, Phil (Patricia) Wolnik, Kathy (Richard) Rind, Christine (Scott  Whitman) Wicknick, Paul Wolnik, Diane (Kevin Pratt )Cluxton, Mark Wolnik; mother-in-law, Mary (Douglas Michael) Anders; and two step children, Brandon Foley and Stephanie Anders.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Wolnik.

Brian spent his childhood in Naperville and graduated from Naperville Central High School in 1989. He earned an Associates in Business from the College of DuPage.
Brian was a mortgage loan officer for Morgan Stanley since 1997. His family moved to Paxton in 2022.

Brian enjoyed golfing and playing softball. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks fan. Brian's greatest joy was spending time with his family.
