Carol E. Ostendorf, 98 of Paxton, passed away at 6:24 a.m. Sunday, August 30, 2020, at her home.

A family graveside service will be held at Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carol was born January 12, 1922 in Edwardsville the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Daech Soehlke. She married Olin O. Ostendorf June 4, 1944 in Edwardsville. He preceded her in death August 1, 1989.

She is survived by one daughter Hope (Harold "Jack") Miller of Paxton; one son, Tadd Ostendorf of Paxton; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, two sisters, two grandchildren, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law.

Carol was a member of the Paxton First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Paxton American Legion Auxiliary, Prospect Chapter No. 367 O.E.S. and a former Brownie and Girl Scout Leader.

She enjoyed playing bridge, board games, pinochle and painting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
