Carolyn L. Renken, 83, of Paxton passed away at 8:11 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026 at her home.

As were Carolyn’s wishes, there will be no services. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Carolyn was born July 31, 1943 in Urbana the daughter of Omer and Gladys Jamison Reed. She married Larry Renken in 1965 in Gibson City. He survives.

Along with her husband, Larry, of over 60 years, she is survived by a sister, Wanita (Ron) Schneider of Rantoul and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.

Juanita earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. She worked at The France Broom Factory, Paxton and the University of Illinois, Champaign as a computer programmer retiring in 2016.

Carolyn was a member of the Paxton Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading books and playing cards.
