Master Sergeant Catherine D. Wiles USAF (ret), 76, Rantoul, Illinois passed away peacefully August 22, 2025 in Paxton.

There will be no services. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Cathy was born on October 1, 1948 in Mauston, Wisconsin to Dorothy E. Jacobson and Wayne A. Fitzsimmons. She married Rocky A. Shepherd. Michele L. and Denise D. were born to them. She later married Harold "Bill" Wiles on April 15, 1992 in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Michele (late Ed Lachman) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, stepdaughters, Kathy (Len Hadler) of Dewey and Katie (Brian Davis) of Humboldt, grandchildren Monica (Joey Horner), Melissa Sharp (Dave Whitley), Melanie (Marc Hagy), Elizabeth Drew, Kerri Brewer, Brianna Brewer, Joshua Drew, Kristin (Matt Rowlen), Joshua Hadler (Cynthia Tucker), and Shawna Davis (Dustin Camp); numerous great grandchildren;  sisters, Debra Macemon (Laycock), and Linda Macemon (Wilear); brothers, Daniel Macemon, Robert Macemon, Jeffrey Macemon, Richard Macemon, Dennis Macemon,  David Macemon and James Macemon; stepbrothers Ronald Meden and Robert Meden.

Lillian Meden beloved grandmother who raised her, daughter Denise, brother Jack Macemon, sister Jane Macemon Ehleiter preceded her in death.

Cathy was an avid reader, enjoyed working puzzles, playing word games, working on genealogy and loved to bake and cook. She retired as a Master Sergeant from the Air Force and later from the Champaign Post Office.
