Cecil D. Harmon, 75 of Paxton, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at his home.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.

Cecil was born July 2, 1950, in Champaign the son of Russell and Ruby LaRoe Harmon, Sr.  He married Joanie Sandusky March 14, 1979.  She preceded him in death January 4, 2022.

He is survived by his children, Aaron (Karla) Harmon of Champaign, Tammy Flahiff of Pensacola, Florida, Jolene (Agga) Haren of Jones, Oklahoma, Bobbie Vaughan of Pace, Florida; a step daughter, Roni Jo Trent of Rantoul; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Margie) Harmon of Urbana and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and one brother.

Cecil graduated from Urbana High School and from DeVry Technical Institute.  He worked for Swanstrom TV, Buckley for a number of years before buying the business in 1989 and naming it Harmon TV.

He enjoyed go karts, speed skating, stock cars and small engine repair.
