Charlene F. Santefort, 76 of Le Roy; formerly of Lake Iroquois, Loda, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the home of her daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the Gibson City Bible Church, 309 N Route 47, Gibson City with Pastor Paul Thomason officiating. Private burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 12-2 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Charlene was born July 25, 1942 in Harvey the daughter of Raymond and Viola VanderAA Pals. She married William T. Santefort October 26, 1961 at South Holland. He preceded her in death November 21, 2007.

She is survived by two daughters, Jill (Jerry) Crylen of St. Louis, Missouri, Jodi (Jason) Albertini of Le Roy; a son, Phil (Brandie) Santefort of Farmer City; eight grandchildren, Marissa, Meghan, Nate, Will, Morgan, Aaron, Anthony, Nina; three great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Violet Pals of Crete.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Kent Santefort and her twin brother, Charles Pals.

She graduated from Thornton Twp. High School, Harvey. Charlene was a homemaker and later was the assistant for Director of Special Services for School District 150 for several years. She and her husband moved from South Holland to Lake Iroquois, Loda in 2002 and to Le Roy in 2015.

Charlene was a member of the Gibson City Bible Church and involved in women's ministries. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, traveling and her many friendships. But nothing meant more to her than spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.
