Charlette May Kretzer, 77, of Bourbonnais formerly of Melvin passed away at 9:46 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at her home.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton with Rev. John Hauck officiating. Burial will follow in Melvin Cemetery, Melvin.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Charlette was born May 13, 1944 in Centralia the daughter of Harold and Virginia Clark Watkins. She married Curtis M. Kretzer December 26, 1962 in Shattic, Illinois. He preceded her in death January 10, 2012.

She is survived by her children, Kathie (William) Stow of Melvin, Melissa (Joshua) Walden of Homer, Kevin (Gisela) Kretzer of Bourbonnais; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one sister, Nona (Butch) McDonald of Pontiac.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey Kretzer; sister, Janice Watkins; and two brothers, David Watkins and Charles Watkins.

Charlette lived in Melvin before moving to Bourbonnais in 2018. She enjoyed crocheting, plastic canvas and cooking. She loved all animals especially her dog and bird. Charlette's family was her world.
