Christopher Allen "Chris" Merry, 50 of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022.

A private family funeral service will be held at Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton with Rev. Debra Domeier officiating.  Burial will follow in Rankin Union Cemetery.

Chris was born November 11, 1972, in Watseka, the son of David Allen and Cynthia Teesdale Merry.

He is survived by his children, Alexandria Marie Merry of Rockford, Benjamin Allen Merry of Covington, Indiana; mother and stepfather Cindy (Dave) Hotler of West Lafayette, Indiana; two brothers, Tony Merry of Denver, Colorado and Jason (Benz) Hotler of Lafayette, Indiana.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, David Merry, and his grandparents.

He graduated from Sheldon High School in 1990.  Chris enjoyed golfing.  He was an avid NASCAR and Chicago White Sox fan.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
