Connie Rae Evans, 65 of Paxton, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, December 16, 2022, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.  Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be Friday two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 noon at the funeral home.

Connie was born November 15, 1957 in Urbana the daughter of Roy and Waunita Nelson Riblet.  She married Mike Evans January 10, 2003, in Urbana.  He survives.

Along with her husband, Mike, she is survived by two sons, Jeremy (Ashley) Dye of Johnstown, Colorado, Jason (Megan) Dye of Elk Grove, California; one daughter, Stacy Thorne of Paxton; a step-son Trent (Trista) Evans of Goodyear, Arizona; a step daughter Kathy (Adam) Clark of Mahomet; eight grandchildren; two brothers Randy (Renee) Riblet of Louisville, KY, Rick (Kelly) Riblet of Paxton; a sister, Cindy Sutherlin of Veedersburg, IN; and her mother-in-law, Harriet Evans of Paxton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Caitlynn Riblet.

Connie graduated from Paxton High School.  She retired from accounts receivable at Caradco/Jeld-Wen after 40 years of employment.

She loved to play Bunco and was a member of the Rantoul Bunco Club.  Connie enjoyed going to flee markets, spending time outdoors, gardening and taking care of her flowers. She also had a passion for collecting anything Betty Boop, Pillsbury Dough Boy and cardinals.  Connie cherished her family and looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren.
