Dale "Bugsy" Bergman, 67 of Thomasboro, died at 7:37 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Flatville with Rev. James T. Lehmann officiating.  Burial will follow in Beckman Cemetery, Rantoul.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Monday at the church.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Flatville is handling arrangements.

Dale was born January 23, 1956, in Urbana the son of Eldred and Emma Thompson Bergman.  They preceded him in death, as did his two brothers, Allen Bergman and Lynn Bergman.

He is survived by his brother, Eldean (Vickie) Bergman of Paxton, his sister, Jolene Grant of Gifford and several nieces and nephews.

Dale spent his life farming and driving his truck.  He always said "when I'm driving that's when I'm the happiest."  He loved hauling corn out of the field for Pioneer and most of all loved delivering the seed corn to the farmers before planting season.  He made a lot of friends and they would always want Dale to deliver their seed.

He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.  He served on the Thomasboro Fire Department.  He enjoyed watching the Cubs and Illini men's basketball games.
