Daniel Alan Evans, 69, of Paxton passed away at 3:50 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2024 at Country Health Care, Gifford.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells St, Paxton with Rev. Pat Allin officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the funeral home.

Dan was born January 12, 1955 in Urbana the son of Bob Gene and Harriet Baker Evans. He married Kim Nuss June 10, 1978 at the First United Methodist Church, Paxton. She survives.

Along with his wife, Kim, he is survived by two sons, Eric (Stephanie) Evans of Paxton, Cody (Missy) Evans of Paxton; three grandchildren, Beckett Evans, Barron Evans, and Hadley Evans; mother, Harriet Evans of Paxton; and two brothers, Mike Evans of Paxton, Rick (Diana) Evans of Lafayette, Indiana; and brother-in-law, Tim (Karen) Nuss of Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Gene Evans and in-laws, Ed and Evelyn Nuss.

Dan spent his childhood in Paxton and graduated from Paxton High School in 1973. He worked in the heavy-duty truck parts business until 2012.

Dan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Paxton. He enjoyed antique trucks and loved spending time with his family.
