Darlene Jean Bemount, 82 of Paxton, passed away at 12:44 am. Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Heartland Healthcare Center, Paxton.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Glen Cemetery, Paxton with Pastor Terry Cooper officiating. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Darlene was born December 31, 1934 in Paxton the daughter of Cecil and Leona Hill Riggleman. She married William Bemount March 3, 1951 in Paxton. He preceded her in death June 13, 2003.

She is survived by two sons, Larry (Sally) Bemount of Paxton, Steve Bemount of Paxton, one daughter, Pam (Michael) Okler of Paxton; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia (John) Robinson of Danville, Kay (Rod) Gustafson of Bourbonnais and a daughter-in-law, Cathy Bemount of Mahomet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Doug and Mike Bemount and a sister, Betty Dixon.

Darlene attended the Full Gospel Christian Fellowship, Paxton. She was a CNA and worked at Ford County Nursing Home and Illinois Knights Templar Home. She later worked in private home health care.
When she wasn't working, she enjoyed shopping.
