Daryl A. Beeth, 76 of Paxton, passed away at 6:07 p.m. Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E.  Pells Street, Paxton with Reverend Dr. Steve Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton with military honors accorded by the Paxton American Legion Prairie Post 150.

Visitation will be one hour before the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Daryl was born December 5, 1946, in Paxton the son of Erwin and Vera During Beeth.

He is survived by two daughters Staci (Andy) Rafferty of Streamwood, Brittany Fairfield of Mahomet; one son, Craig Beeth and three grandchildren, Laila, Derek and Henry.

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wayne Beeth; two sisters Jean Anderson and Joan Billerbeck.

Daryl graduated from Paxton High School.  He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Viet Nam.  He received the Purple Heart.  Daryl retired in 2001 from the University of Illinois as a computer programmer.  He lived in Mahomet before returning to Paxton in 2012.

He was an avid Illinois football and basketball fan.  He played and coached softball in Champaign, Rantoul and Mahomet most of his adult life.  Daryl loved the outdoors, mowing, yard work and just being in the sun.  His greatest joy was being with his kids and grandkids.

The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care their dad received during his ten-year residency at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.
