Obituary

Delores "Jane" Marshall Bell, 70 of Rock Hill, South Carolina, died at 11:44 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at St.  Mary Catholic Church, Paxton with Father Nestor Sanchez officiating.  Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.

Jane was born February 25, 1954, in Paxton the daughter of Harold and Louise Gutzwiler Marshall.

She is survived by two sons, Brian (Megan) Roche of Rock Hill, SC, Dennis (Gina) Roche of Rock Hill, SC; a daughter, Nicole (CJ) Barnhart of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Maddie, Corbin and Claire Barnhart of Charlotte, NC, Eva Kate and Winston Roche of Rock Hill, SC; a sister, Pam Marshall Weller of Loda and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Lou Anderson, and husband, Clifford E. Bell, Jr.

Jane graduated from Paxton Community High School in 1972 and from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in 1976.  She was Director of Laboratory Services at HSHS St. Anthony Hospital, Effingham and a South Carolina small business owner.  She lived in Paxton and Effingham before moving to Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1995.

She was a member of Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church, Fort Mill, SC.  Jane was a Styx fan girl.  She enjoyed Shamrock shakes with her grandchildren and watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She loved being with her family for Sunday visit and holidays and especially enjoyed visiting her family in Illinois.

Memorials may be made to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Fort Mill, SC for masses or an organization of the donor's choice.  Condolences and memories can be shared with the family at www.baierfuneralservices.com.
