Denise Marie Curtis Scudder, 50 of Ludlow, passed away at 9:57 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2020, at her home.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton. COVID-19 safety guidelines will be followed; please bring your mask. The family is asking everyone to wear Illini or Cardinal apparel to the visitation.

A private family funeral service and burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Rantoul will be held with Rev. Paula D. Wallace officiating.

Denise was born December 2, 1969 in Urbana the daughter of John and Marie Smith Curtis. She married Larry Scudder April 18, 2003 in Paxton. He survives.

Along with her husband Larry, she is survived by her parents, a sister Marci Curtis, brother Tom (Mandy) Curtis, all of Ludlow, mother-in-law Ruby Scudder of Rantoul and numerous other relatives.

Denise graduated from Paxton High School in 1988. She had worked for Associated Transfer & Storage of Champaign for many years.

She was a member of the Rantoul First United Methodist Church. Denise was an avid Illini and St. Louis Cardinals fan. She enjoyed movies, music and collecting angels.
