Dennis I. Adamson, 61, of Paxton passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 407 W Pells, Paxton with Rev. Dong Bui officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rantoul with military honors.

Visitation will be 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Friday at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Dennis was born December 4, 1956 the son of Irvin and Lorna Johnson Adamson in Champaign. He married Lisa Combs February 2, 1985 at St. Malachy Catholic Church, Rantoul. She survives.

Along with his wife, Lisa, he is survived by three daughters, Christine (Dave) Wilker of Rantoul, Rebecca (Arnel) Canedo of Rantoul, Amanda (Anthony) Henry of Paxton; one son, John Adamson of Paxton; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Erika, Hailey, Aaron, Ryan, Adam, and Abigail; one brother, David (Cynthia) Adamson of Buckley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Gary Combs of Paxton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dennis graduated from Rantoul Twp. High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was stationed at Whidbey Island, Washington. Dennis farmed in the Gifford area, drove a school bus for PBL and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Paxton and a Third Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 4450, Rantoul.

He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Dennis loved going to auctions, attending the I & I Tractor Show, Penfield and tractor pulls at the county fairs.
