Dolores Dean "Dee" Vaughn passed away at 8:10 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Glen Cemetery, Paxton.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Dolores was born March 11, 1930, in Huey the daughter of Carl Cecil and Goldie Pearl Bond.  She married William J. Vaughn July 16, 1948, in Paxton.  He preceded her in death April 13, 1981.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl (Bud) Beck of Paxton; one son, Robert (Jodie) Vaughn of Paxton; one granddaughter, Heather (Tim) Lantz of Paxton; four grandsons, Shannon (Lara) Lawless of Peotone, David (Taylor) Vaughn of Pearland, Texas, Carson and Conner Vaughn of Paxton; four great granddaughters, Kirra (Dominic) Brackenhoff of Paxton, Taylor and Jaiden Lawless of Peotone, Sophie Vaughn of Pearland, Texas; two great grandsons Keegan Lantz of Paxton and Kevin Layne Vaughn of Pearland, Texas. She is also survived by one niece, Sheila Roberts of Alabama and three nephews, Tracy Covington of Texas and Ronald and Richard Vaughn of Paxton.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debra Lynn Vaughn in 1977; one son, Kevin David Vaughn in 2008 and one brother, Thomas J. Covington.

She attended Paxton schools and graduated from Loda High School.  Dolores retired from Baltimore Air Coil April 1, 1989.  She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and attended The Upper Room Church.

Dolores enjoyed quilting and knitting.
