Dolores Jean "DoDo" Kenney, 96 of Gibson City, passed away at 1:19 a.m. Sunday, June 29, 2025, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. Mikey Meester officiating.  Burial will follow in Melvin Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1 ½ hours before the funeral service from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

"DoDo" was born June 30, 1928, in Lyman Twp., Ford County, Illinois the daughter of William C. and Florence Elizabeth Underwood Bertram.  She married Lawrence Wesley Kenney January 12, 1947, at the Melvin Methodist Church.  He preceded her in death on March 17, 2012.

She is survived by two sisters Beverly Rueck and Judy Tolbert, a sister-in-law, Elsie Bertram and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers, Howard, Robert, William, Edwin and Wayne Bertram.

Before moving to Gibson City in 2016, she lived most of her life in Bloomington-Normal.  She was a dedicated wife and homemaker.  "DoDo" was an avid reader.  She enjoyed watching birds, especially cardinals, the Big Band music and spending time in her home.  She was interested in life and family and always looked forward to sitting down with family to share a meal.
