Dominic Jarell "Dom" Mackins, 34 of LeRoy, formerly of Loda passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his home.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton. A celebration of life will be held a later date.

Dominic was born March 7, 1984 in Gibson City the son of Patricia Monroe and Terry Mackins.

Along with his parents, Patricia Monroe and Terry Mackins of LeRoy, he is survived by two sons, Dominic, Mackins, Jr., Davion Mackins and their mother, Kristin Bounds of Saybrook; one brother, Damien Mackins of Loda; two sisters, LaToya Mackins of Rantoul, Terri Mackins of Rantoul; maternal grandmother, Peggy Monroe of Loda; maternal great grandmother, Ruthie Mae Monroe of Rantoul; special friend, Amanda Dean of LeRoy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Cecil and Carrie Mackins.

Dom spent his childhood in Loda and attended PBL schools. He attended Eastview Christian Church, Bloomington and was employed by Den Graphics LeRoy.

He was a die-hard Lakers fan and enjoyed camping and video games. His greatest joy was spending time with his two sons.
