Donald Rex Combs, 81 of Paxton, died at 2:33 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2022, in Paxton.

A private family funeral service will be held at Glen Cemetery, Paxton.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Donald was born October 3, 1940, in Caruthersville, Missouri the son of J. D. and Ruby Jewel Garland Combs.  He married Cordie "Sue" Ivy November 18, 1958 in Newport, Arkansas.  She survives.

Along with his wife Sue, he is survived by one son, Rick Combs of Paxton; one daughter, Ramonna (Ted) Williams of Paxton; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Rhonda Combs Harris and a brother, Bobby Combs.

Don had been employed by Central Soya, Gibson City and retired after 27 years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Paxton.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
