Donna Jeane Lithgow, 88, formerly of Hoopeston, passed away July 30, 2024 at Goldwater Care in Gibson City. She was born August 11, 1935, the daughter of Glenn Seymour and Mildred Abbott Seymour. Her mother passed away the day before her tenth birthday. Two years later her father married Bernice Christiansen who was a loving mother to the blended family.

Donna was raised in Rossville, graduating from Rossville High School Class of 1953. She then worked at the Fred A. Smith lumber yard where she met and married Art "Bud" Page in 1955. After his service in the Navy the couple lived in Hoopeston where Donna Jeane worked at the Grab-It-Here, the Community Bank, and retired from the Grant Township Office. Bud passed away in 1970.

In 1985 she married Stanley Lithgow and became a farmer's wife and a part of his family. She is survived by his children, Craig (Gail) Lithgow of Rantoul and Barbara (Stuart) Chase of Rochester. There are five grandchildren: Jana, Carrie, Scott, Sarah, and Emily. Donna Jeane delighted in the great-grandchildren: Vincent, Owen, Levi, Connor, Carson, Tucker, and Ben. She is also survived by a brother, Lonnie (Sue) Seymour of Miami and a sister, Bonnie (Jack) Luttrell of Bismarck, a sister-in-law, Mildred Christiansen of Kankakee and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents, two husbands, three brothers, Harold Christiansen, Maurice Seymour, and Ken Christiansen and two sisters, Marjorie Lithgow and Maxine Reid.

Donna Jeane was a member of Chestnut Street Church of Christ in Hoopeston where she enjoyed the people and the Sunday night Cowboy Church. She collected nativity scenes, having over 125 of them.

Donna Jeane helped care for her father for several years when he left his home in Rossville for assisted living in Hoopeston. After his death in 2007 she often said, "I really miss him."

Donna Jeane was especially close to granddaughter Carrie. She sold her home in Hoopeston and moved to Gibson City where she happily picked up Owen and Levi from school every day, gave them a snack, and let them play games on her ipad and phone until Carrie got off work.

She enjoyed traveling with her sister, Maxine, going to Alaska and taking a river cruise down the Mississippi River.

Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service will be at a later date in Floral Hill Cemetery, Hoopeston. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.
