Dorcas Ann Diskin, 83 of Paxton, died at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2024, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, February 9, 2024, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. Pat Allin officiating.  Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be two hours before the funeral service from 10:00-12:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Dorcas was born June 15, 1940, in Roberts the daughter of Sidney and Alpha Jewel Corn Allen.  She married Ray Diskin June 29, 1958, at the United Methodist Church, Melvin.  He survives.

Along with her husband, Ray, she is survived by two daughters, Loretta (Tony) Solliday of Temple, Texas; Julie (Mike) Goetting of Paxton; one son Raymond Thomas (Dolores) Diskin of Belton, Texas; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd (Ruby) Allen of Melvin; Gary (Mary) Allen of Paxton, Bill Carlton, Randy Allen; sisters Sherry Lindsey, Laura Hunter and Sandy Latham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Geraldine Kelly; one brother, Don Allen and a sister in infancy.

Dorcas graduated from Buckley High School in 1958.  She and her husband have owned and operated Bee Boat Co. Inc. for more than 60 years.

She enjoyed sewing and reading and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
