Doris L. Roisland, 94 of Carlinville, formerly of Paxton passed away at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Heritage Health, Carlinville.

A private family funeral service will be held at Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton with Rev. Tom Anders officiating.  Burial will follow in Elliott Cemetery, Elliott. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Doris was born March 28, 1926 in Rossville the daughter of James and Lyda German LaBounty. She married Donald Roisland July 27, 1946 in Gibson City.  He preceded her in death May 4, 1997.

She is survived by two daughters Sheila (Allen) Johnson of Plainview, Chris Wegener of Portland, Oregon; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Jean LaBounty of Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers.

Doris graduated from Rossville High School.  She worked for Dr. Mark Fouch, Paxton for many years as the office manager.  She was a very active member of the Paxton Church of Christ.

She enjoyed fishing, gardening, crocheting, oil painting and playing the piano. Doris was well known for making the best cherry pies and her beautiful smile.  She could do anything she put her mind to.
