Earl Standifer, 70 of Gifford, passed away at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at his home.

Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Beckman Cemetery, Rantoul with Rev. James T. Lehmann officiating.

Earl was born September 6, 1951, in Middlesboro, Kentucky the son of Ray and Pauline Lakens Standifer.  He married Janine Wienke Quinlan August 18, 1990, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Flatville.  She survives.

Along with his wife, Janine, he is survived by one daughter, Teresa Ferguson of Jacksonville, Florida; two stepdaughters, Emily Quinlan of St. Charles, Missouri, Hailey (Todd) Braden of Gifford; one granddaughter, Alicia (Alex) Mattson of Sonoma, California; two grandsons, Gentry and Rylan Braden; a great granddaughter, Adeline and a great grandson due in August.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Earl was employed by Rademacher Building Center, Gifford as a lumber yard manager for a number of years and retired from Hicksgas, Urbana in 2016.

He enjoyed riding around in his golf cart with his dog, Shelby and loved spending time with his family.
