Elga Roy, 90, of Paxton passed away 9:33 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 at Country Health Nursing Home, Gifford.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 430 S. High St., Paxton with Rev. Philip McGarvey officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott Cemetery, Elliott. Arrangements are being handled by Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the church on Saturday.
Elga was born April 11, 1927 in Russell Springs, Kentucky the daughter of Floyd and Della Sullivan Wilson. She married William "Arlin" Roy March 25, 1944 in Jamestown, Kentucky. He preceded her in death December 5, 2016.
She is survived by one son, Danny (Barb) Roy of St. Joseph; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one twin sister, Erma Gosser of Russell Springs, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rodney Roy; one daughter, Carolyn Eveland; four brothers; and three sisters.
Elga moved to Paxton in 1965. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Paxton.
She enjoyed gardening, quilting and flowers. Over the years she won many blue ribbons from the Ford and Champaign County Fairs for her quilting and gardening.
