Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Laurie, 55, of Paxton passed away at 3:47 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton with Rev. Debra Domeier officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, September 21 at the funeral home.

Liz was born August 12, 1963 in Rantoul the daughter of Robert and Marian Swanson Zalaker. She married Robert G. "Bob" Laurie October 6, 2007 in Paxton. He survives.

Along with her husband, Bob she is survived by six children, Katrina (Edward McKay) Rascher of Rantoul, Jessica (Slone) Cook of Catlin, Joshua (Ellen) Richardson of Columbia, MO, Logan (Skye Little) Richardson of Champaign, Lauren (Tyler Zanardelli) Richardson of Paxton, Landon Richardson of Paxton; one step son, Andrew Laurie of Marengo; mother, Sandy Zalaker of Buckley; nine grandchildren, Vicki, Payton, Parker, Charley, Bailee, Maxwell, Talia, Gianna, Ava; six siblings, John (Sandi) Zalaker of Loda, Michael (Wendi) Zalaker of Gibson City, Robert "Bobby" Zalaker of Buckley, David Zalaker of Franklin Park, Cindy (Rex) Krumwiede of Mahomet, and Melissa (Ryan) Gillons of Hastings, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marian, and one sister, Mary Ann Zalaker.

Liz was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Paxton and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Loda. She had been employed at Dupont, Gibson City since 2009.

She loved camping and spending time with her grandchildren and two special pups, Jack and Roxie.
