Florence J. Elliott, 90 of Paxton, passed away at 5:33 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, at OSF Healthcare, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. John Hauck officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Florence was born February 16, 1928, in Paxton the daughter of Robert "Bruce" and Eunice Scott Horridge. She married Max E. Elliott April 15, 1948 in Morganfield, Kentucky. He preceded her in death February 28, 2009.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Michael) Flynn of Springfield, Jeanne Elliott of Paxton; one son, Michael (Sherry) Elliott of Paxton; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a sister, Roberta (Raymond) Price.

Florence was also preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.

She graduated from Paxton High School. Along with being a wife and mother, she worked for EIEC, Paxton for 18 years answering their phone anytime the office was closed. She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Paxton and always enjoyed being a part of the church quilting group.

Florence was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidering, bird watching and word-search puzzles. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family.
