Florence Mary Snelling, 92, of Paxton died at 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Accolade Paxton Senior Living.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 407 W Pells, Paxton with Father Dong Van Bui officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 8 at the funeral home with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Florence was born March 2, 1926 in Jeffersonville, Indiana the daughter of Jacob and Anna Andres Graf. She married John L. Snelling January 28, 1944 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He preceded her in death September 8, 1983.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol (John) Turner of Ames, Iowa, Anna (Jeff) Runge of Paxton, Debbie (Brian) Osborn of Rankin; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 2 daughters-in-law, Sandy Snelling of Paxton, Judy Snelling of Champaign; 2 sisters, Catherine Huff of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Rita Brendle of Utica, Indiana.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, James Snelling, Avery A. Snelling, Sr. and 2 brothers, Arthur and Vincent Graf.

Florence graduated from Jeffersonville, Indiana High School. She and her family moved to Paxton in 1971. She retired from Sorensen Co., Paxton and was an Avon representative for 30 years. Florence was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Paxton.

She enjoyed quilting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
