Frances F. Purple Quick, 92 of Rantoul, passed away January 11, 2023, at Villas of Holly Brook, Rantoul.

Frances was born on May 26, 1930, in rural Covington, Indiana to Albert Z. Purple and Cathryn F. Witsman Purple.  Frances graduated from Covington High School in 1949.

Frances married Eldon L. Quick in November 1952.  They had four children:  Richard, Kathy, Karen and Patricia.

Frances was a full-time mother to her four children.  She also sold Avon in the 1970's and worked at the Rantoul YMCA in the 1980's.

Frances was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gifford.

Frances is survived by her husband Eldon and children Richard (Carol) Quick of Champaign, Kathy Quick of Rantoul and Patricia (William) Steward of Kenosha, Wisconsin, as well as a sister, Elva Bailey of Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Frances is also survived by five grandchildren:  Marlana (Chad) Smith, Marshall Quick, Kristopher Haman, Kristina (Brandon) Quinonez and Ryan (Allison) Waters.  Frances also had five great grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Karen and siblings Wilmer Purple, Bill Purple, Harlan Purple, Shirley Craft and Betty Scheurich.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 16, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gifford with Pastor Scott Guhl officiating.  Burial will follow in Eden Park Cemetery, Rantoul.

Visitation will be one hour before the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Flatville is handling arrangements.
