Gary Ray Moss, 57, of Melvin passed away December 18, 2021 at his home.

There will be no services. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gary was born May 9, 1964 the son of Gerald and Maxine Schunke Moss.

He is survived by his son, Josh (Tina) Moss of Melvin; two grandchildren, Savannah Moss and Rayne Maxine Moss; sister, Sharon (Don) Holland of Paxton and brother, Gerald (Joy) Moss of Paxton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sheila McPheter.

Gary spent his childhood in Paxton and graduated from Paxton High School. He served in the United States Army completing his training at Fort Benning, Georgia. Gary continued serving in the Illinois Army National Guard. He was a truck driver for DART Transit and West Side Transport, Inc.

Gary enjoyed collecting diecast cars, trucks and airplanes and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Most of all he loved going to the dirt track races in Farmer City and Fairbury every Friday and Saturday night with his family.
