Glenda Irene Weisenbarn, 84 of Buckley, died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Villas of Hollybrook, Rantoul.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main Street, Buckley with Rev. J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. at the church on Wednesday. Baier Family Funeral Services, Buckley is handling arrangements.

Glenda was born November 16, 1936 in Buckley the daughter of Lenhardt and Verna Hartke Janssen. She married Robert A. Weisenbarn April 27, 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. He preceded her in death December 4, 2011.

She is survived by a daughter, Becky Weisenbarn of Buckley; a son, Brad (Rhonda) Weisenbarn of Paxton; a grandson, Zachary Weisenbarn; a granddaughter, Katie (Matt) Walker and a brother Gerald (Jan) Janssen of Buckley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Herb, Erv, Clint and Arno Janssen.

Glenda graduated from Buckley High School in 1953. She worked at the Buckley State Bank for many years and retired in 2003.

She was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley and sang in the church choir. She was also a very active member of the Ladies Aid and always looked forward to helping wherever needed. She served on the Buckley Fun Days Committee and was also a member of the Buckley Legion Auxiliary and the Buckley Golf League.
