Harlene Mae Dargan, 84, formerly of Paxton, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, October 24, 2020. She was a resident of Dolphin House in Burlington, WI.
She was born to the late Harlan and Grace Baumbach in Quincy, IL on October 5, 1936 and later lived in Peoria, IL. Harlene met the love of her life, Robert Anthony Dargan, while attending Central Bible College in Springfield Missouri. They married on May 20, 1956 and were together for 59+ years before he proceeded her in October of 2015. They moved to Rantoul and then Paxton, IL. where together they raised four children, Crystal Lynette (Robin) Bruner, Joy Annette Harewood, Robert Charles (Sharon) Dargan, and Amy Lisette (Stephen) Parker. They had eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. They dedicated their children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels.
Harlene is survived by her children, grandchildren, and a sister, along with a niece and nephew and great nieces and nephews. She is proceeded to Glory by her husband, parents, a sister, and 4 grandchildren.
Harlene retired from Chanute AFB after being a secretary in the OSI office for many years. She loved being a minister's wife and teaching Children's Church and Women's Bible Studies. She was a member of Full Gospel Christian Fellowship, Paxton.
Harlene will be buried in the Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy, IL on October 31, where a graveside service will be held. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.
