Harold Duane "Buddy" Swanson, 73 of Paxton, passed away at 5:17 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. Rachel Stockle officiating.  Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, at the funeral home.

Harold was born September 27, 1948 in Fairbury the son of Harold and Phyllis Dale Swanson.

He attended school in Walkerton, Indiana.  Buddy farmed with his father and worked for Weber Fertilizer, Loda.

Buddy is survived by a sister, Mary Beth (Jim) Swanson Tanner of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; a step sister, Mary Berner Korbus of Michigan; an aunt, Naomi Swanson Nuss and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Paul Swanson and two sisters, Ruth Ann Swanson and Twila Swanson Young.

Buddy enjoyed old tractors and trucks and visiting with friends.
