Jane Marie Goodwin, 77 of Paxton, died at 8:43 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, PCA, 312 E. Center Street, Paxton with Reverend Dr. Steve Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at the Danville National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

Visitation will be one hour before the funeral service from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church.  Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements.

Jane was born December 15, 1946, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania the daughter of John and Josephine Bartosky Imrich.

She is survived by three daughters, Heather Goodwin and Gretchen Goodwin, both of Guffey, Colorado; Amy (Eric) Fenn of Wheaton; three grandchildren, Isabela, Justus and Gracia Fenn; two sisters, Joanne Taormina of Palm Bay, Florida; Joyce (David) Kuckenbrod of Johnstown, PA; one brother James (Janet) Imrich of York, PA and her goddaughter, Shoni Yette of Urbana and her son, Kyree Hillsman.

Jane served in the Army Nurse Corps during the VietNam war.  She retired after almost 50 years of nursing.  She was a very active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Paxton.

Jane was an avid reader and invested much time and energy in helping others learn, from matters of personal faith to elementary age Sunday School to English as a second language.  She also took great joy in keeping in contact through personal letters and cards with many friends and family.
