Janette E. Harper, 79 of Paxton, died at 3:45 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m.  Friday, February 11, 2022, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Father Dong Van Bui officiating.  Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 10, at the funeral home with a rosary at 4:30 P.M.

Janette was born October 27, 1942, in Lima, Ohio the daughter of George and Juanita Keeling Quillin.  She married Richard P. Harper in 1962 in Lima, Ohio.

She is survived by her children Rick Harper of Paxton, Angie (Steve) Mowrer of Paxton, Susan Kehrer of Paxton, Ruth (Craig) Kavajecz of Loda, Joe (Kara) Harper of Savannah, Georgia; 14 grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas Harper, Stephen, Chris, Rachael and Michael Mowrer, Jamie Harper, Tim Kehrer, Jessica Kavajecz, Emily Kavajecz, Aaron Kavajecz, Allison Morgan, Caleb and Abigail Harper; and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

Janette retired from Civil Service having worked in personnel at Chanute Air Force Base and Scott Air Force Base.  She and her family moved to Paxton in 1979.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Paxton.  She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, singing and crocheting.  Janette was an awesome cook and loved spending time with her family.
