Jerry Alan Ulrich, 71 of Scottsdale, Arizona; formerly of Paxton, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Advanced Healthcare, Scottsdale.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells Street, Paxton with Rev. John Hauck officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton with military honors rendered by the Paxton American Legion Prairie Post 150.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, February 12, at the funeral home.

Jerry was born June 10, 1946 in Paxton the son of Joseph A. and Dorothy M. Tribbey Ulrich. He married Donna Barringer December 18, 1966 at the First United Methodist Church, Paxton. She survives.

Along with his wife, Donna, he is survived by a son, Ryan Ulrich of Phoenix; his twin sister, Jean (Earl) Lackey of Hoopeston; a sister-in-law, Betsy Barringer; three nephews; two nieces, several great nephews and nieces and his grand-dog, Mags.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Tara and a sister, Karen Bleich.

Jerry grew up in the Clarence and Paxton area. He graduated from Paxton High School in 1964 and from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 1978 with a degree in architectural design. He served in the United States Army National Guard. Jerry worked for the Church Mutual Insurance Company, Merrill, Wisconsin and retired from the Church Insurance Agency Corporation, New York. Before moving to Scottsdale, Arizona in 2003, he and his family lived in Danville, Bloomington, Edwardsville and Des Moines, Iowa.

He was a member of the North Scottsdale United Methodist Church. He took great pleasure in golfing and fishing and loved traveling to Hawaii and vacationing with his family. Jerry enjoyed all sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
