N. Joan Little, 92 of Pekin, a former Paxton-Rantoul resident passed away at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Pekin Manor-Liberty Village, Pekin.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E Pells, Paxton with Pastor Fred Sistler officiating. A private family burial will be held in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Visitation will be two hours before the service from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Joan was born March 8, 1925 in Clarence the daughter of Robert T. and Nellie M. Newkirk Foster. She married Paul H. Little July 11, 1942 in Bowling Green, Missouri. He preceded her in death July 24, 1994.
She is survived by four sons, Larry Paul (Peg) Little of Southern Pines, North Carolina, Sammie Ross (Vicki) Little of Pekin, Leslie Leon (Pat) Little of Rantoul, Jon Robert (Pen) Little of St. Cloud, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and four brothers.

Joan attended Paxton schools. She lived in Rantoul until 1985 when she and her husband moved to Florida after her retirement from Chanute Air Force Base. Joan moved back to Rantoul in 2010. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rantoul and Ludlow; Women of the Moose, Rantoul; Kissimmee All State Tourists; and a former member of the Champaign County Home Extension.

She enjoyed playing shuffle board, Euchre and dominoes.
