Joy Elizabeth Lade Moreland, 64 of Paxton, passed away at 1:04 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Liberty Cemetery, Iroquois County. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Joy was born August 6, 1956 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri the daughter of Leo and Ellen Louise Fry Lade, Sr.

She is survived by her fiancé Aaron Abraham; a son and daughter-in-law Johnathan and Lauren Moreland of Paxton, a daughter Jennifer Brown of Paxton; one granddaughter Allyson Moreland of Paxton; an honorary grandson Colin Longfellow of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers Duane Lade of Watseka and Roy Lade of Fowler, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Leo Lade, Jr. and Tommy Lade.

Joy graduated from Donovan High School. She worked for Baker and Taylor, Momence for many years. Joy was a Jehovah's Witness. She loved to sing and was part of a world-wide singing group. Joy was a very positive person and could always cheer you up. She was ready to help her family and friends by doing whatever was needed. But nothing meant more to her than spending time with her family and talking with her fiancé.
