Joyce Faye Belk, 80 of Paxton, died at 2:04 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2025, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with Pastor Kevin Heiser officiating.  Private burial will be held in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be Monday, March 24, two hours before the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joyce was born October 29, 1944, in Munford, Tennessee the daughter of Elgar "Buck" and Lola Bell Walker Forbess.  She married James T. Belk December 5, 1962, in Tipton County, Tennessee.  He survives.

Along with her husband, James of 62 years, she is survived by three daughters, Regina Belk of Paxton, Vanessa (Frank) Plott of Paxton, Laleña Griffith of Paxton; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Malcum, Lewis and Kenneth Forbess, two sisters, Evelyn Castanedo and Alice Marcy and four nephews, Harold, Danny and Gary Cox and Chuck Marcy.

Joyce worked at C&I Bank, Memphis, TN and as a cosmetologist in Munford, TN before moving to Paxton in 2012.  She enjoyed sewing, home decorating and working in her yard and with her flowers.
