Judith “Judy” Farmer Ideus Park, beloved wife, mother, Oma, great “Omie”, aunt, and friend, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on Saturday, June 20, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

Judy was born on January 3, 1949 to Robert “Runt” and Lois “Alberta” Yocum Farmer. On February 18, 1967, she married the love of her life, Ray Ideus. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and community. They were blessed with one daughter, Darcy (Neal) Silver, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to their lives. Judy’s greatest blessing was her family, and she poured her heart into each generation that followed.

She cherished her role as “Oma” to her granddaughters, Carlee (Brennon) Breymeyer and Katey (Layne) Ingrum. Her love grew even deeper with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Brenley, Brody, and Blair. They adored their “Omie,” and she treasured every moment spent with them. Whether sharing stories, celebrating milestones, offering a warm hug, or simply being present, Judy created memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

Judy was a faithful and active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where her faith was nurtured and shared throughout her life. She and Ray spent many years serving as Luther League sponsors and as a Sunday School teacher.

Judy worked for many years as a legal secretary at Turnbow Law in Rantoul before serving as Financial Secretary at Rantoul Township High School until her retirement.

If you were fortunate enough to know Judy, chances are you were fed, encouraged, prayed for, or loved as if you were family. She expressed her love through acts of service; whether preparing card-table field dinners during harvest, baking special birthday treats, or creating beautiful crocheted blankets for babies and children she loved. Many knew and loved “Oma Judy” because she had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, cared for, and at home.

After Ray’s passing in 2013, Judy was blessed to find companionship once again when she married Sam Park on December 8, 2016. Together they shared friendship, faith, laughter, and support until Sam’s passing on November 13, 2023.

Judy faced life’s challenges with strength and grace. She courageously battled and overcame breast cancer in 2010. In late 2025, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and faced that journey with the same faith, courage, and determination that defined her life.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Darcy (Neal) Silver; her granddaughters, Carlee (Brennon) Breymeyer and Katey (Layne) Ingrum; her beloved great-grandchildren, Brenley, Brody, and Blair; her brother-in-law, Ronnie (Nancy) Ideus; sisters-in-law, Linda (Gary) Carmien and Delores (dec. Alan) Harms; along with many nieces and nephews, extended family members, cherished friends, and all those who were blessed by her love and friendship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Runt” and Lois “Alberta” Farmer; her brother, Mike Farmer; her husband, Ray Ideus; and her husband, Sam Park, and nephew, Todd Farmer.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Gibson Area Hospital Oncology and Carle Hospital for the compassionate care and support provided to Judy and her family.

A funeral service celebrating Judy’s life and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Flatville on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Kopmann Cemetery, Royal. There will be no visitation. Baier Family Funeral Services, Flatville is handling arrangements.

Judy’s legacy lives on in every family gathering, every shared meal, every act of kindness, and every life she touched. She taught those around her that love is best expressed through service, faith is strengthened through trust, and family is one of God’s greatest gifts. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and joyfully remembered.
