Judith Ann King, 81, of Paxton passed away at 9:34 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton.

A memorial gathering open house will be held Thursday, October 25 from 6-8 PM at the Arcade Restaurant gathering room, 132 N. Market St., Paxton. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Judith was born November 8, 1936 in Elmhurst the daughter of Benjamin and Rose Dorothy Sacher Hamowitz. She married Gerald King in March 1957 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

She is survived by one son, Jerry (Barb) King of Paxton; two daughters, Julie (Bill) Burgess of Paxton, Lisa (Reggie) Harrelson of Lincolnton, NC; seven grandchildren, Jerry (Nicole) King, Allen (Lindsey) King, Gabe (Heather) Burgess, Joe Burgess, Josh (Tonya) Burgess, Jari (Vance) Rutledge, Wes (Melissa) Atkins; 15 great grandchildren, Taylor, Paige, Dylan, Connor, Zach, Jimmy IV, Brendon, Sierra, Cooper, Naomi, Logan, Jentry, Isabelle, Paxton, Raylan; and one sister, Beverly Kolwitz of Dallas, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a stillborn son, Joseph Allen King and a great granddaughter, Blake Ann King.

Judith graduated from York Community High School in 1954 and attended Elmhurst College for two years. She proudly served in the United States Air Force for one year. Judith moved to Paxton in 1960 and worked at Switchcraft/Sorenson Company for 20 years and IGA for 10 years. She was a member of T.O.P.S. where she was the treasurer for many years and attended Hope Vineyard Church, Paxton.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and visiting with people. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
